![]() There is a thing where you have your champion defending your town in the town sim sections, and apparently you have to play out short little defense things (I think kind of like when you encounter enemies in say Zelda II). Some changes to the combat gameplay, mostly QoL stuff with the spell system so you can have a bunch of spells at once instead of just one, but some people preferred the simplicity of the original game's combat. Regardless this drastic expansion is what makes it definitely-not-just-a-straight-remake. However, some fans of the original view this as filler, while others view it as a welcome expansion of what was originally there. The original was a fairly brief SNES game (~5 hours) and the new one offers a lot more. I have heard that the game itself is about 3x as long as the original or so. The art in general seems okay, I've seen some people say they don't love the semi-pixelated look, like they should have picked a lane so to speak. ![]() ![]() Some changes include:Ĭhanges to the art style, which seem to be received okay for the most part but some people prefer the original.
